Because these Scriptures are spelled out in their entirety, and are some of the most basic and important verses found in the Bible, they can also serve as an excellent source of verses to be committed to memory. “Thy Word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against Thee.” (Psa.119:11.)


Jn.1:12 – As many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.

Psa.66:18,19 – If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me: But verily God hath heard me; He hath attended to the voice of my prayer.
Jer.29:13 – Ye shall seek Me, and find Me, when ye shall search for Me with all your heart.
Jer.33:3 – Call unto Me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

Mat.7:12 – Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them.
Mat.22:37-39 – Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Jn.13:35 – By this shall all men know that ye are My disciples, if ye have love one to another.
Jn.15:12 – This is My commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
1Cor.13:8a – Love never faileth.

Mat.6:14,15 – For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Eph.4:32 – Be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
1Jn.1:9 – If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.


Psa.111:10a – The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

Mat.11:28-30 – Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.

Dan.12:3 – They that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
Mat.4:19 – Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.
Mat.5:14-16 – Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven.
Mat.9:37,38 – Then saith He unto His disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He will send forth labourers into His harvest.
Mk.8:38 – Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of Me and of My Words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when He cometh in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.
Mk.16:15 – And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Jn.15:16a – Ye have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain.

Pro.11:24,25 – There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty. The liberal soul shall be made fat: And he that watereth shall be watered also himself.

Judg.6:37 – Behold, I will put a fleece of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the fleece only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that Thou wilt save Israel by mine hand.

1Sam.15:22 – Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
Job 36:11 – If they obey and serve Him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.

Isa.30:7b – Their strength is to sit still.
Isa.30:15b – In quietness and in confidence shall be your strength.
Isa.40:29 – He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might He increaseth strength.

Psa.46:1,2 – God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea.
Pro.1:33 – Whoso hearkeneth unto Me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.
Pro.18:10 – The name of the Lord is a strong tower: The righteous runneth into it, and is safe.
Isa.43:2 – When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

Job 23:10 – He knoweth the way that I take: when He hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.

Psa.34:19 – Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.
Psa.119:67 – Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept Thy Word.
Psa.119:71 – It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn Thy statutes.
Rom.8:18 – For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
Rom.8:28 – And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.
2Cor.4:17 – For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.
2Tim.2:12 – If we suffer, we shall also reign with Him: if we deny Him, He also will deny us.

Isa.54:7 – For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.

Mat.22:37-40 – Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it. Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Jn.1:17 – For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
